Situated on a rugged coastline, the residence is built to withstand harsh Nordic weather while maintaining warmth inside. A palette of weathered timber, insulated glazing, and polished concrete creates a balanced aesthetic.
Where modern architecture meets Nordic resilience.
The brief emphasized sustainable solutions that integrate seamlessly with the architecture. Geothermal heating, rainwater collection systems, and high-performance windows contribute to a home that is environmentally responsible and comfortable year-round.
Inside, the plan is anchored by a central hearth that becomes a natural gathering point. Circulation pathways are intentionally soft and fluid, offering both private retreats and shared zones enhanced by natural light.
“The house feels like a sanctuary—calm inside, powerful outside. Every detail feels intentional.”

Interior materials were selected to soften the minimal structure—light ash wood, textured textiles, and built-in cabinetry elevate the warmth of the living environment. These choices create a calm, grounded atmosphere regardless of exterior conditions.
Rooms are arranged to encourage slow living, with seating zones positioned toward the water and circulation spaces framed by natural light. The result is a home that feels deeply connected to its place yet refined in its design and architecture.
